PURPOSE Lead sustainable trail development and stewardship in your zone, and advocate for responsible use so our network rides great—now and long-term.

WHAT YOU’LL LEADZone plan & expansion – Build a seasonal plan; scope new alignments and upgrades; coordinate contracted projects. • Land access & compliance – Work with land managers/owners and local authorities; submit annual operating plans; complete inspections and required reporting. • Sustainability & safety – Apply recognized trail-building standards and safe work practices; design/maintain signage. • Maintenance & rapid response – Coordinate routine upkeep and storm/storm-after work so trails stay safe and rideable. • Volunteer Taskforce – Recruit/coach a small zone Taskforce to handle small projects (blowdowns, drainage touch-ups, sightline trims). • Community trail days – Partner with the Community team to run 1–2 larger public dig days per year in your zone (scope, crew structure, safety). • Tools & resources – Work with Logistics to manage tools, equipment, and materials; track usage and replenishment. • Interface with Government Agencies - work with the local municipality, as well as provincial and first nations on trail planning and maintenance. Submit all required documentation and reporting.

YOU BRING • Knowledge of sustainable trail design/standards and safe work practices. • Clear communication and collaboration skills (land access, permits, partner updates). • Organized, calm project management—plan, delegate, follow through. • Working knowledge of Google Workspace/Notion/Slack (or willingness to learn). • Strong local trail awareness and a stewardship mindset.

PREFERRED SKILLS

TIME & TERM • ****~10 hrs/month, heavier spring–fall. • Two-year volunteer term.
